Case File 54

Reluctant Surrender

A major manufacturer had a judgment against them. Two and a half hours in a conference room proved cheaper than ignoring it.

Episode 54Collections2026-06-23

When a well-known Central Massachusetts car parts manufacturer failed to satisfy a judgment worth tens of thousands of dollars, Alan arrived to collect. Instead of arguing, threatening, or making a scene, he simply took over a conference room and got comfortable. While management grew increasingly frustrated, Alan spent the next two and a half hours making calls, handling business, and waiting. Eventually, the company realized he wasn't leaving and that the judgment wasn't going away. The result was a reluctant surrender, a check in hand, and a reminder that persistence is often the most effective tool a constable has.
